Welcome to the
ACT community

Finding a hope and a future after prison or the streets

Oxford is known across the world for its learning and its beauty. But every night people sleep on its streets.

Many end up there after leaving local prisons without support.

ACT exists to change this. Our welcoming community includes many with lived experience of prison, street homelessness or addiction. Through street and prison outreach, meals, mentoring and housing, we help people rebuild their lives.

A hope and a future

Oxford’s history is full of people inspired to tackle injustice by the example of Jesus. Today is no different. Will you join us?

  • ‘ACT helped me get back on my feet. It’s like being in a family’— Victor

  • ‘What does ACT mean to me? Honestly, there are not enough words in my vocabulary to describe it. However, if pushed, I’d say, “ACT are the epitome of HOPE.”’ – Paul

  • ‘Before ACT, I’d spent most of my life in institutions. I am now clean, a full-time worker, and I’ve never been in a better place.’ – Danny

  • ‘ACT invited me in – just pulled me into the family. They showed me such open arms and such love.' – Michael
